about 18 months ago i bought a zoom h2 recorder just to record my ideas really , then pretty soon found it wasn't enough , so i bought a lexicon alpha interface to go on the pc , cubase 4le came with that for free , so it's still early days for me ( you can tell )
when ever i want to know how to do something with cubase i look on youtube , nearly anything you want to know is on there . i do need to learn how to program the drums a bit as i do bore myself with repetative drums throughout a song. there are so many features even on the le edition of cubase that i dont (at the moment) see the point of upgrading to the pro version.
I wanted to be a hippy....but my mum wouldn't let me !!

I use GarageBand too, and it took a bit to get comfortable with it. You just have to stick with it. I learned mostly from looking stuff up online, there's tons of great recording websites available.
