Hi there.  The combination of spoken word and uplifting backing made me think of Public Service Broadcasting.  I liked it but I felt you had two separate great songs going on at once here...  The backing track is really lovely and poignant, and the voice over is really funny and a great idea - but I didn't feel they fitted together if I'm honest, as if the voice was talking over the delicate backing and cutting across it... a bit like someone talking loudly in your ear when you're in the cinema, you know?  Maybe it was the phrasing / timing of the words cutting across sections.  That's just me though... and like I said I really liked all the individual parts of it... clever clever lyrics and some super little melodies in the instrumentation.
It's all too beautiful.

Really enjoyable.
Remember.... it's just my opinion. It doesn't make me right. Although i probably am ;)

Hehe - I think I've heard that answering system before  ;D
Clever lyrics and hypnotizing backing - what more could we ask for?
In emergency press harder - what a line|!  ;D ;D
Kind of missed your (plural) fine vox though  :D

Having spent much time away from the forum. I'd simply like to say thank you for listening and taking time to reply.

The instrumental that I wrote was called "The Sullen Surf Dude". I guess, he or she ran into an answer machine somewhere along the way. To be fair, nooms has done really well to give this a new twist. It can't be easy to write melody when I basically please myself when writing the instrumental.

Hopefully we'll go to work on a second album in the not too distant future!

Thanks again,

Paul

Hi Guys,

I like the idea, and the music - but the voice reminded me too much of being on hold for 30 minutes at a time. :)
I do think the two work though - the conflict between the annoying (voice) and soothing music.

It did make me want to swear over the voice as I'm inclined to do when waiting for a human voice.

I think it's clever.

Great tune.

Very clever how you have fused the dialogue and music.

The lyrics are very clever and real reflection on our society.

A good listen.

Hello,

It's a very original piece. There are a lot of sound subtleties that I liked. The voice a little spoken works well on that.

Very nice work  8)
