Hi Guys

Here's our latest offering, its nice and loud so turn it right up and hold on to your hats. its about someone who has a crappy job but its all ok when he goes home to his lady.

Livin' the Dream

Verse 1

As I lie in your bed, the only thought in my head
Its no fun at work when your boss is a jerk
My job is dirty and there ain't much pay…
You’re on my mind as I make it through the day

Chorus
You got me rockin n rollin and Im living the dream
Your the one whose controlling it, I’m living the dream
When I get home and I hold you tight….
You're the one who makes everything alright

Verse 2
They keep on chasing my rent but all my money is spent
Its only making me blue, all I can think of is you…yeh
You’re looking hot all in those tight blue jeans
Coz I’m the king and baby your my beauty queen
————————————————————————-

Gotta get home to hold you tight…
Gotta get home to make it right…
Gotta get home to hold you tight…
Gotta get home to make it right…

Hope you all like it

This was a banging little rocker guys. Up to your usual high standards.  It's got bags of energy. Lovely guitar,  great vocals from Andy but did we really need to know about all that licking going on ? Surely that's a private matter  ;D :o

Thanks Pompey,

Well spotted, those lick references were production notes I forgot to remove, I've taken them out now as I don't want you getting too excited.

Cheers, Mikey

Yo fellas.

A great big rocker here, love that breakdown about 2.50 in.

There's a bit of a retro feel to this one, maybe it's the wah? I could hear shades of Cream here and there.

@Skub @RealKevM @nooms

Thanks guys, we were going for the 70's rock vibe, it makes me feel old to call it retro. it was current when I used to listen to it :(

Glad you all liked it

Cheers, Mikey

Lyrics are cool i like the philosophy implied by them. Guitar sounds work well and the drum rhythm works well too. The kick drum is a bit lackluster though. maybe a little eq boost around 3-5k somewhere to get it to cut through the mix a bit more.

Good stuff.

Lovely little rocker, very definitely got a 70s feel about it...in structure anyway, with the licks a little more out of the 80s...I also really like the breakdown, which is inventive and a little unexpected. I can see you jamming that part out live.

Can't really say much more, coz it's straightforward rock n' roll! Good job!

Great drive here, quite some excitement in the mix and arrangements.
Only 4 stars from me, however, as those lyrics are a bit too generic really (sorry! Though at one stage I did hear "Global warming's controlling and I'm living the dream" which did make me sit up...)
Your trademark sound is always a pleasure to listen to though!

i like the really tight gang vocal...  or is that an effect on a single vocal?

the lead guitar tone is too bright for me, but i suppose that is an individual preference thing.
the lyrics and the songs composition overall are a bit too obvious for my tastes but i'm sure it will appeal to a lot of folks.

nicely recorded, well played and sung.

Hats off to your production skills on this, totally got me in the zone, completely immersive - and entertaining too! If that's what you were going for, then you achieved it!
My latest novel: pls check it out!

‘Gavin & The Bodysnatchers’, a quirky comedy crime thriller. Easily found on Amazon.

Bounces along very nicely with your trademark indie-style production, which I'm a big fan of. The lyrics are very accessible...someone once said to me, people are here to be entertained, rather than educated. Thinking back, it was probably a headmaster  :P

Sounds great to me  :)

This is a great rocker. The only thing i'd change is to remove the couple of bars in between the 3rd and 4th line in every verse and chorus. Go straight from one to the other.
Remember.... it's just my opinion. It doesn't make me right. Although i probably am ;)
