Thanks for all the kind comments guys, you are correct in that we were going for the 70's rock sound, the lyrics were intended to be the right style for the genre, any rock songs from the era will have a similar style.

@PaulAds I totally agree about the lyrics, a lot of people make the mistake of not matching the lyric style to the genre of their track, and some just write lyrics that are overly complicated and end up just being tedious.
