I’m getting a lot of ideas lately and as I travel a lot I’m looking for a good microphone that I can hook up to my iPhone. The inbuilt one is not good enough. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi @MartynRich, I use the iRig mic Studio. It is nice and small, therefore very portable. Extremely clear sound, though maybe lacking a bit of warmth. To compensate for that I use it with an app called MicSwap Pro, which is meant to simulate classic pro Mics used in the recording industry through the years. Obviously, it can't really do that for a few quid! But it does add some nice depth and texture all the same.

Good luck with your quest!  :D
My latest novel: pls check it out!

‘Gavin & The Bodysnatchers’, a quirky comedy crime thriller. Easily found on Amazon.

Zoom makes a great quality stereo microphone for the iPhone @MartynRich  :)

It's a little pricy but considering you get two high quality condenser microphones it's actually not a bad cost: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/iQ6--zoom-iq6-stereo-mic-for-ios-with-lightning

All the best!
