Hi!

I've been bugging/mentioning to Boydie about a few sight errors that I find when using the Forum.
Since I might be the only one who experiences this particular problem I thought I should check with you first.

When I get a PM or a @-tag I get a notification in my Messages. Nothing wrong so far. But when I click on that message it appears in a continuum of all my messages, not just the headlines. This causes some confusion to whether I've read a PM or not, Causing me to miss PM:s among the @-tag notifications. I could simply unsubscribe to tag-notifications, but that would be missing out on knowing when I'm tagged.

Have any other member this problem?

Cheers,
Martin

Not sure I am understanding the issue

Notifications show up as a PM in a list with all of my other PMs

If I open a notification I get a link to the tagged post

If I want to remove a notification from my PM list I delete the notification message

Can you give a little more info on what is causing an issue

Hi Boydie! Is it possible for me to send you a screen shot to more easily describe the problem?

Right now when I click on one tag/PM all messages and notifications are opened up. It makes it difficult to keep more than one PM conversation going at the same time.

I've been confused too.  Not that I don't get all my messages, but it takes awhile to figure out what are the new ones, and get to them.  I thought for awhile that having two "my messages" links in the home page might have meant that I was checking the wrong one.  But they seem to be the same.

Didn't know I could "unsubscribe" to the flagging thing.  How do I do that?  In my opinion, that would be something best set up so that subscribing required action, and not so that it required action on our parts to "unsubscribe."

I believe the "@tagging" is on by default as I find it difficult to see a strong reason a member would not want to know when another member has consciously tagged them as it is usually for a good reason

Subscribing to threads (i.e. Getting a notification when anyone replies in a thread) is off by default so perhaps this is the one you have turned on?

@Martinswede - I will PM you with my email address to send the screenshot to

The "My Messages" next to your avatar picture (top left) takes you directly to a "preview" of the recent/unread messages in your inbox

The "My Messages" within the top banner gives the options to go to your full inbox and gives a direct shortcut to write and send a new message
