Good evening all.

Heres the latest offering from myself and @Mikey
Its a very old track from a few years back that I lost the love for and after a bit of persuading from Mike, we got going again.

Lyrics basically about sometimes just taking a chance on something even its way out of your comfort zone.

Hope you enjoy the song and as always welcome constructive criticism good or bad.

Thanks for listening.

Lyrics:
Verse 1:
You’ll never know if you dont ever try
You’ll never learn if you don’t step outside
Your comfort zone where nothing changes
Where its is easy and theres no strangers
All the secrets are yours with nothing to hide

Chorus:
Learn to fly and don’t be afraid to fall
Take that chance and make that call
good or bad theres no going back from here
You’re never far away from the beaten track

Verse 2:
You’ve made your choice so now sit back and wait
Leave it up for fate to take the strain
no time to wait it is as it stands
To late to change, its out of your hands
The choice is yours and you choose to refrain

Verse 3:
The verdict's in and your sentence is served
take a breath without feeling the burn
Call it a hunch or a bunch of good times
gave them the slip without paying for the crime so
Don’t know what it is but it feels fine

Another classy track from you guys and glad you brought it back to life. I really like that punchy bass sound that you have achieved, it really cuts through. Great melody, drive and production as always  :)

Loads of energy and a powerful hook.

Mikey's gonna hate me,  :D but I'd leave out some of those guitar fills and keep them occasional for impact.

Great sound.  8)

Great sounds, very nice song and great vocals too.

Might have been better to go with a different title...to avoid confusion with the Foo Fighters...don't suppose it matters, though,

Super work though...as always!

Whato @Cawproductions  -

Like the intro, and guitars, really nice, so difficult to get that balance, superb prod. Like the BVox, nicely balanced in the mix.

I think I'd lose the LGtr fills, the're to random to be a hook, and distract from establishing the Verse, maybe bring them in after the mid section.

Just got them after the mid section, sit better there, or even The Edge type high harmonic strumming would suit this piece better, if you know what I mean..D shapes above CXII, seem to work well, pm me if you want to know more... (It's funny I was criticised for doing exactly on a few of my earlier songs here, and it was absolutely right, to many samey fills too early...)

Anyway it's your song, so as usual it's your call.....

Everything else really nice.

Hope it helps

Hi all,

Thanks for taking a listen and commenting. Appreciate the feedback.

I will re listen with the comments in mind.

As for the Title, it was always going to be called Comfort zone, In fact my project file is named that, but after we got further down the line we felt it wasn't right.

I guess for me with my producer hat on, the fills are there just to fill gaps and create interest but not as any kind of Riff. Perhaps another option would be to have a riff running through, Thought provoking stuff.

CPM, Yeh I know what you mean, up the neck on the 1, 2, 3 and 4th strings..maybe on the next track, cheers

Real great comments, keep em coming.

Thanks for listening

Hi Cawproductions,

You can properly rock out to this one, wouldn't feel out of place on an Oasis album. The vocals were really strong & I enjoyed to guitar solo & heavy bass.

I would have liked the bridge to have gone all out rather than that slow down bass build up to the guitar solo but hey that's just my preference.

Look, you’re a guitar band, right?! I actually liked it all through - I think you’d lose something if there wasn’t the additional energy from those fills. The only issue there is if you go early everything can sound a bit samey, so maybe a quieter more stripped back verse could work as a break. Something to ponder. Anyhow, it’s a really fun track and a great listen.

Listened to this a few times. It's another accomplished radio friendly production. You must have quite a catalogue by now! My favourite part of the song is the interlude at 2.22 where the drums take centre stage from 2.25 for a few seconds. This is where the dynamic becomes a bit more rock and roll and  I would request you consider using that in the intro too. It's a great sound

Hi guys

Thanks to all of you for your comments, I'm glad I persuaded Andy to get this one out of the bin and give it another go, we are well chuffed that you all like it. Regarding the licks, we found that when they weren't there it sounded like something was missing in the gaps, so we agreed it sounded better with them in.

Thanks again for taking a listen

P.S. Don't worry @Skub you're still on my Christmas card list.

On my this is fab! Such a great sound you've got going on here.. Lovely vocals - really like those lyrics. And the chorus has that anthemic thing going on...

Really polished and rather fab.. Loved it @Cawproductions and @Mikey .. Radio-ready track!
