Trademark jaunty and witty Paulski song...as good as ever...which means very good, of course.

Lyrics are very well done, but I couldn't help but post a couple of things into the mix...

https://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/15/books/tim-weiners-enemies-and-fbi-counterintelligence.html

https://kinginstitute.stanford.edu/encyclopedia/federal-bureau-investigation-fbi

https://www.democracynow.org/2014/11/18/the_fbi_vs_martin_luther_king

How the FBI will be judged, again, in, say, another 50 years time, might find that very little, if anything, had changed.

You might all have a lot more confidence in their ability to separate the great work that the majority of field agents do as opposed to what some of the senior management of the bureau has traditionally done than I have.

Listened twice so far and very cool! Alas, my reaction to all politics these days is to ignore them and concentrate on my own little world, which is really not the right attitude but I am much happier for it...

Great lyrics... great piano and vocals as always.. Instantly recognisable @Paulski which is a great achievement. Really enjoyed this clever and amusing song...

Hi Paul,

So funny and topical - I would love President Chump to hear this. Your songs are always so bleedin' clever - "gavel" rhyming with "shackles" must be a first ever in the history of songwriting! I can't believe you packed all that into 2:15. Randy Newman would be proud of this as you should be too.

@MichaelA - cheers Michael - glad you found it distinctive - hard to stand out as different with so much talent around these days

@RealKevM - thanks Kev - happy you liked the lyrics

@hardtwistmusic - thanks Verlon - that's a lot of thumbs - you're too kind but I'm not complaining  :D

@PaulAds - thanks for the kind words Paul - yep there's a lot of points of view out there - ain't it so? But I think you should put your rebuttal in a song   ;D ;D

@adamfarr - cheers Adam. You're probably wise to do that.

@MonnoDB - thanks so much - glad you liked the lyrics/piano/vox there's not much else in there thankfully  :D

@montydog - cheers Alan. Yeah that gavel/shackles was a stretch. It was originally gavel/gallows but I thought - what the heck! Clever? You should check with my better half on that one. I really do appreciate the randy neuman comment though!

Thanks 2 all for the great feedback
Paul

Ha ha! OK, @Paulski I will give it a go.

It might be a bit shambolic and light-hearted, but I will see what I can dredge up

Pity I couldn't write a tune to these words...

Or these

Doesn't everybody...apart from George Washington of course...especially to the likes of the FBI.

Seemingly effortless work from your studio...though I'm sure it was harder work than it seems.

Sounds like a Paulski song....who else on that piano with that good, clever vocal work.

Neatly done as ever.
Take it easy.

You can check my stuff out here. Mini-album getting bigger slowly. Free download if you're poorer than me.
