I was told about this competition that gives unsigned songwriters the opportunity to write a new song about any city, for the chance to win $10,000.
In addition, the top songs from each country/city could be released for sale as digital compilations, with the songwriters and singers sharing in all future revenue that is generated from their recordings or songs – via CD sales, downloads or licensing of the works for any commercial purposes.
I thought some may appreciate this info if they may or may not have already written a song about a city.
