sad to see Chas Hodges has passed away..
became a national treasure as part of chas and dave, wonderful muso and songwriter.. his history goes all the way back to Joe Meek. First time i was aware of him was in the early 1970s when he was bass player with albert lees Heads Hands & Feet. i was in my early teens and in my first band.. we were dumbstruck after seeing them as you can imagine....
love chas & dave songs.. how can you not ,  but i chose this hh&f track as my memory is so vivid and where my heart is i suppose..
rest in peace chas, m'old china..

chas is on bass and shares the vocal with tony colton ..
ray smith is on lead gtr with albert lee on slide..
pete gavin on drums

i may not believe this tomorrow...

Very sad day for music. Thanks for posting this nooms - I've never heard that song/ performance before, but it's absolute quality. They don't make em like that any more eh? It feels like rock & roll is really dying this decade. In another 30 years will find it as archaic as we found jazz.

Chas was an accomplished musician and by all accounts a decent human being.

I saw him standing outside the Belfast Hilton as we were driving by to load in to play a function in the hotel that night. That's my rather underwhelming star story for tonight.  :D

RIP Chas, you did good man.  :)
