This isn't really a song it's just a memory for me

I remember fondly

Sitting around a table at a holiday camp
I was about four and you about six
it's a memory that's caught in my mind
I still have the photo to prove it

I remember fondly
me on my mums lap
you were on Dads
it makes me so sad because it's now gone

filling our days making castles on the beach
somedays nan and grandad would visit
she bought a flask for my eczema
sweet love , sweet thoughts , so touching

I remember fondly
me on my mums lap
you were on Dads
it makes me so sad because it's now gone

distant days of holidays
I was scared of being alone
with all the other kids who were there
it's only now that I realise
I wanted to sit with the girls

I remember fondly
me on my mums lap
you were on Dads
it makes me so sad because it's now gone

Not a song? I disagree!
It has all the elements of a song - a touching (interesting!) story, a great chorus, an emotional connection that most can relate to. OK, no music yet, but it's begging for it.
Normally I would whine about rhyming, or structure or something..
But here's what I would change in this: nothing!  ;D ;D
