A short song that took me all of 10 minutes. Doesn't really have a verse-chorus tune to it - more like verses that just build up in volume with a different ending rather than a chorus as such...

TELL ME YOUR LIES

So tell me your lies
I don't want the truth cos the truth always hurts
And I'm lost in your eyes
I'd rather be safe in the dream than the world
And its razor-sharp knives
Nothing is gained
Dealing only in pain
It is madness to think otherwise

So I never cry
I'm blind to the truth and the wounds it imparts
There's no reasoning why
No having to face up to a broken heart
And the fact that it died
Why should I fall
To despair? After all
There is solace in closing your eyes

So tell me your lies!
Tell me your lies!

INSTRUMENTAL

So tell me it's fine
The world is all flowers and music and sun
And it's flowing with wine
No hint of the darkness and storms yet to come
I would rather be blind
Nothing is gained
From predicting the rain
You’re a fool if you think otherwise

So tell me your lies!
Tell me your lies
Tell me your lies

INSTRUMENTAL FADEOUT

Not sure why the format went weird (as in the font size went to pretty much ZERO!) but I've updated it.

Do you have a vocal melody for this?   If not, it's begging for one.  Very nicely written.

I've been busy with the theme of self deceit lately.
This song appeared to me like a monologue.

Quickly written you say?! You must be something of a natural talent.
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

Don't eat the yellow snow

And there you have it.
