Hi Nooms

This was always a dream for me, to do everything, When I saw Stevie Wonder, Prince and Paul McCartney doing it all I knew it would be possible.

Thanks for the post

Be coming self-sufficient was a huge step forward for me. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have talent like Dave. But being able to play guitars, bass, sing, and then program drums and do rudimentary keyboard parts AND combine that by utilising a DAW changed my life 15 years ago.

When collaborating with others in a band situation, everyone has different levels of commitment and a zillion other things to do other than play music. Working away at my own pace to produce a complete, fully produced song was something I never dreamed was possible when I was growing up! It’s something many of us take for granted these days.

A very cool vid nooms.

Some fine riffin' going on there. Hints of everything from Nirvana through Rush to Muse. A compulsive watch.

It says a lot for the piece that I watched it all and enjoyed it. These days I have a very short attention span,30 minutes into a film and I'm getting restless, more than an hour and I'm off somewhere else!

As Bill and CPM mentioned, owning a DAW has allowed us all to pursue the same aims. When I was a teenager sitting in my bedroom trying to overdub using 2 cassette players,I never dreamed of the recording quality than can be attained now for relatively little money.

Buying a DAW a couple of years ago was the best thing I've done in a long time...now it's the time and opportunity which is compromised! Ye cannae win.

Did you notice at the end how DG let the noisy pedalboard and amp work for him? No worries about noise gates there, use it!  :D

Agree wholeheartedly with the comments above. Buying a DAW 3 years ago has been an amazing experience
