I know Katie isn't here any more but... interesting (and really rather amusing) fact... every time the council puts up the street sign for Canal Street (focal point of Manchester's "Gay Village") it gets defaced pretty quickly, with the C and the S pretty much tippexed out... I'll leave you to work out the connotation!
