Hey all,

I've got a new track here called Feels Good. I'm not quite 100% finished it with (but it pretty much is done). Just wanted to get some critiques and thoughts if you'd like to take a listen. As I do with most of my songs, It's a build up to the end so I would appreciate a full listen if you have the time :)

This is a song I wrote about overcoming depression and anxiety (or any hardship) and finally coming out on the other side.

Thank you!!

Lyrics:

Lately I've been feeling so fine

I've been toying the line between reality and fantasy

Something 'bout my insides telling me forget all the fine print

And throw away anxiety

Pre-Chorus:

And I don't know what's gotten into me but I've been

Seeing every color so vi-vividly and I've been

Whistling while I work and I don't even know it

Yea, I don't even know it

Chorus:

It feels good walking out the door to sunshine

It feels good looking all the people in the eye

And I don't know what I was waiting for

No, I don't know what I was waiting for

I don't know what the hold up was

I guess it was me, myself, and I

I was in a cloud of dust

Now I'm in a big blue sky

I had more control than I ever imagined

And when I let go I gave in to the magic

Pre-Chorus:

And I don't know what's gotten into me but I've been

Hearing everything with positivity and I've been

Skipping my feet on the street and I didn't even know it

No, I didn't even know it

Chorus:

It feels good walking out the door to sunshine

It feels good looking all the people in the eye

And I don't know what I was waiting for

No, I don't know what I was waiting for

Bridge:

And all of a sudden the weight of the world came off of my shoulders

I'm part of the people

No longer on hills

Pushing up boulders

And all of a sudden I'm free as a bird

And all of a sudden I'm part of the world

All of a sudden...

Chorus:

It feels good walking out the door to sunshine

It feels good looking all the people in the eye

And I don't know what's gotten into me but I've been

Hearing everything with positivity and I've been

Skipping my feet on the street and I didn't even know it

No I didn't even know it

(fading out)

It feels good walking out the door to sunshine

It feels good looking all the people in the eye

I don't know what I was waiting for...

Hey man, this is sick. Im a big chromeo fan so this is vibing with me (similar style but its still unique). It’s cheesy but in a very charming way. The production is top class the fade out is so so so good. Honestly nailed it, people would listen to this if they knew about it. Extremely catchy, i don't usually play songs on repeat but i gave this one 3 or 4 goes before getting bored.

P.S. Thank you for your kind comment on my track and yeah you’re spot on with the anxiety and depression bit im glad you got it. Its nice to know there's someone else out there who's been through similar things and has expressed themselves in a similar fashion. (i prefer your track, way more optimistic)

@Jack_Diamond. Thank you so much!! I haven't listened to Chromeo but it's funny because I keep hearing about them and was recently thinking I need to check them out.

I really appreciate your words and I'm glad you enjoyed the song.

I love your song. Mine is a bit more optimistic but it's kind of like the sequel to your song, you know? Yours is so real and such a true representation of the darkness and I wanted to create a representation of the light on the other side.

Thank you again!!

Hi,
Nice and easy vocals as ever, and a big summary chorus too.
Lots of space which is good.
I'm sure with a little modern production would take it from a demo to full scale tune.

Hi Micky
Another great track from you.
Why aren't you signed?  ;D
Love how you weave all those lyrical and musical hooks together - esp like the vocals and the synth stuff.
Those looking to find fault will have to look elsewhere IMHO.

Lots to love here Micky! A beautiful song, well crafted as usual, catchy as usual and not a “thee” in sight!! ;) ;D jokes aside, it’s always great when u can get stuff off your chest in a song. Songwriting can be very cathartic. Excellent work mate.   ;D
