EDIT
Guitar is unintentionally way out of tune - my ears couldn't tell my phone could 😂. Pending re-record
Heyas,
Fresh off the press this morning (but well finished by my standards), here's probably my strongest solo effort for a good while, posted on here at least.
Anyway this is a subject which has been bugging me, though not quite focused it's broadly about perception. I mean who we think we are isn't always correct - we have our ideals and principles that we try to stick by, but do we? So are others a better judgement as they don't have that personal bias? Feel like dangerous territory doing that too..
What Do You See
Chorus
What do you see
When you're looking at me
I keep looking in the mirror
Thinking whwat I could be
Your perception seems
So far wrong
And my perception just
Doesn't get along
What do you see
When you're looking at me
I keep looking in the mirror
Thinking whwat I could be
v1
Judgement, because we nothing alike
But I don't know why that means i'm not right
Hetred, at the thought & sight
And finally I see you in your true light
Severing, the respect that I had
Doesn't matter what's true 'vos your view's are had
Dissapointment, at the world around
How we talk like we move but we're stuck to the ground
<chorus>
v2
Discrimination, is very alive
And it makes me feel like we're barely alive
Gut punch gut punch then you dare me to drive
And watch as I vear right off a cliff side
Set up to fail, drained of hope
Act like we're there but there's far to go
The ignorant; don't want to know
The dark within can't help but show
<Chorus>
break
You always know the
Right thing to say
Yoy always have the
Right game to play
<chorus>
As always any time given to look, listen, read or give feedback is much appreciated.
All the best,
Scott.
