Neat tale Paul told well as every, I enjoyed it a lot.
Really liked some of the chord changes with mixed things up a bit and the middle 8 with the BV's. Harp sounding good too.
Classy

Fab lyrics.  I like the optimism of them too - that truth always shows up in the end.  I hope that's, er, true.
Your harmonica is as good as Dylan's already!  Great entertainment value to this song while still delivering something a little deeper to think about.
It's all too beautiful.

A great listen Paul

Fantastic lyrics, as usual beautifully arranged, really like the harmonica and backing vocals.

You tell fantastic stories.

Great lyrics and nice tune (ask Ed Sheeran about stealing tunes and he'll give you a hundred-million reasons to avoid it! :P )

"The lie had arrived by Ferrari"  I like that.  The chord progression is at times in Ferrari territory - first class in my opinion.  There's much to like, from the backing to the harmonica and engaging story telling.

Well done Paul.

Hi Paul

What a great listen. I have been meaning to get around to listen to this PURELY based on the great title of the track. Makes you want to hear more, to find out what it's all about, which to me, illustrates how important a song title can be. The lyrics and clever, and so much fun - I loved the Bumbling, Grumbling bit at the end. And the harmonica works really well - just a great song all round!

I haven't listened yet.  I'm still busy digesting the lyrics.

Constructive Criticism?  Well, there IS way too much truth in your lyric to be applicable for today's market.

I think this is in intensely good (and IMPORTANT) lyric.

Some of the best lyrics we've ever had on the forum, biting and relevant.

Love it! Right out of the tip top draw  :)

First: I loved how the background harmonies worked out!

This is a typical country song, and I feel you have a good story to share, and you share it in a good storytelling manner.

Best wishes

Hi Paul,

Great original idea cleverly realised. The melody sounds comfortable and familiar but you haven't copied anything I can recall. You often bring an intelligence and literate sensibility to the forum which I much appreciate. There is a lot to be admired here - I think it's one of your most satisfying compositions. "The lie came in a Ferrari" - loved that :-)
