Hello Songwriters!

This is my first Song post for you all...kinda nervous...
This song is about a break up with a friend.  We’ve probably all been there.  But I feel that this song dissects the various emotions, not just anger, or sadness…it looks at the recovery phase as well. The getting better.
It’s called “Better Now”.  I used Garage band to make my backing tracks, and my lyrics are below.  I’m getting a condenser mic soon, so please excuse the possibly annoying sound quality if you’re used to more high level videos.  I’d appreciate feedback regarding flow, overall vibe, what genre you think this is, I’m still finding my voice as an indie artist after 5 years of cover band life…

Firstly you've got a great voice! no way around it. To me it has Beyonce written all over it, but I don't listen to this type of music all that much, maybe Beyonce is a bit too broad . As for feedback, the music quality in this video is really iffy. You can just record your voice with headphones on, and play it back for the video with the original sound added to it. That way it'll sound a lot better, and people will enjoy their listening experience much more. You've got a great voice, and your lyrics are good as well, keep it up.

Yep, you've got a fantastic voice for sure.
The song felt like it had strong potential too - some hooky melodies in there, I just felt it needed a better mix and more production (so you're not just singing over the backing track which does sound a bit tinny right now).
Are you writing 365 songs in a year... is that the challenge?! Good luck!

I really relate to the lyrics, I think a lot of people will too. I really like the chorus especially because of the rhyming. Im unsure about the fetus line but I understand you’re trying to make it all rhyme. I like this a lot and id be very interested to hear it after being recorded with a proper mic. Good job.
