These aren't probably good lyrics for a song but I've had the idea floating around in my head for a few days and wanted to get something down and after being at my poetry group yesterday I wanted to do something descriptive
Red dress girl
Someone speaks but I don't hear
there's a beat in my heart , I've never felt before
the room is empty except for her
my mind doesn't hear the music
the hem of her dress flicks the floor
her movement takes my breathe away
I see the ocean in her emerald eyes
I feel I'm drowning already
"Do you want a drink ?" Somebody asks
I love her orange hair cascading her shoulders
the warning bells ring in my soul
but it's far too late
our eyes meet briefly , then depart
I see the flicker of a smile on her lips
she's the centre of attention surrounded by men
Men just like me under her curse or spell
Call it how you like

I stand at the bar and watch her
mesmerised by a gypsy angel
then she's beside me at the bar
we don't talk , we don't need to
She orders a drink, I pay
I'm a little boy lost
she downs it in one
She leaves I follow
