Thanks guys, your appreciation gives me the necessary courage to press on!

It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

Rightly my man,

What a brilliant piece, I really like this, I especially the LVox, really clever, the vibe reminds me of a later Lou Reed. Can't add anything all, I just love the way you do your thing, in a confident way.

Trouble is Rightly, when it comes to music, I do like to work that hard.... :)

cpm

Hey thanks for the Lou reed comparison.
He can't be all that bad then.

Lou was a slow burn with me but burn he did, and like few before or after him.

Doing things in a confident way is the on,y effective way.
Uncertainty really detracts from the listening experience.

I've seen plenty of folks go on stage with original material when suddenly they'll apologise for being out of practice, or for being rubbish. That's when you know you're wasting your time  ;D

Ever onward, work work work.
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

Hi Rightly....very original, quirky rythum in the music makes this interesting, as well. Always the lyricist that we want to read....your work is a magnet, here.
Good stuff!

hey @Rightly , I am on holiday at the moment so completely agree with this songs sentiment. Very entertaining listen, a slice of English eccentricity well executed in music. Good one, I'd say!
My latest novel: pls check it out!

‘Gavin & The Bodysnatchers’, a quirky comedy crime thriller. Easily found on Amazon.

@Paulski

yes, The road of originality can be vexing and arduous, especially at the begining.
I can't do it any other way.

I'm glad you like this track. I remember writing of the song and I wanted  the sentiment to resonate.
I wanted something simple and accessible, if Morrissey can do it
then I should be able to do it too, sort of thing.

over time I realised the sentiment wasn't one dimensional and then I had to get some good recordings of it.
the song eventually convinced me.

This link here will take you to the acoustic version. I think it's just as good.  :)

Yo Rightly

Defo original in its style and performance.

The Piano and kinda Rhodes sound give it a kinda jazz feel, Like it.

Although I must admit the randomness of the instrumentation and subtle vocal key strays put me out of kilt at times.
BUT, with my producer hat on I think I over examine things a lot which can get in the way of creativity..
So to you sir I say well done. As others have said, a truly genre original piece.

Great work.
