Well you’ve already been very generous and helpful on the forum, so we’re lucky to have ya!
I’ve always written songs from a very young age...12 I think was my first song...it was called paradise & I’m sure that anyone who heard it at the time felt quite far from that title!!
I spent most of my teens & early 20’s writing shit to mediocre love songs...thanks Bon Jovi & Take That!! I then bought myself a Korg Triton Le £1000!!!!!!!! (I now have MANY iOS Synth apps that do more than that machine and all of them for less than £10 each!! Some free!) & a £500 all in one recording studio/cd maker (I now use Auria pro £30 waaaaay more powerful on ios
) & that was me off to the races!! Of course every song I produced was crap cos I had no clue about compression,Eq or mastering etc, but it was lots of fun at least.
Fast forward 15 years or so & after a 7 year break from songwriting all together, I decided to do some YouTube mixing study & I finally had the balls to post a song on the Audiobus “song of the month forum” I got a friendly & encouraging response & I joined other forums like this excellent one & have not looked back.
