Hi All,
Most, if not all, modern dance music uses rhythm on the chord progression of a song. I thought this was referred to as 'harmonic rhythm', but all the resources I have studied use this term to refer to simply the pattern of changing of chords throughout the progression. What I mean by 'harmonic rhythm' is the pattern of changes made to a single chord of the progression. Also, when using the piano to support the backing for singing, the chords are sounded by using various patterns on both the left and right hands.

So what would you call the rhythm of changes to a single chord in the progression?

Thanks
