Paul,

Slowly getting used to the purpleness of the makeover, much better on the mobile thanks.
I've a quick question around Messages, where do I find my sent ones?

On the main home screen you've two 'My messages' but I cant work out where the sent ones are?
I know I'm not good at adapting to change but please help out an old man.

Hi Neil

When you click on 'My Messages' you should see a button called 'Messages'. If you hover your mouse of this you will get 3 options, one of which is sent messages. You still need to click on 'save sent message' tick box before sending a message for it appears here.

Hope this helps

Darren

@Neil C

When you go to MY MESSAGES to see your messages you should see a small round grey shape with an arrow in the top right

If you click this you get the familiar menu pop up on the left

To close it just click the arrow again

Darren, Boydue,

Thanks for that. However I'm still following the instructions and not seeing what you tell me I should see.

From the main menu under the middle 'My Messages' tab I see three options:
My messages.  - has a list of messages sent to me
Read your messages - has a list of messages sent to me
Send a message - does what it says on the tin.

To the right is also My Messages - which if you mover over expends to a grey box with a summary of messages sent to me and a View all option. Am not seeing any grey shapes or arrows I'm afraid.

So o'm send them but cant find them in an outbox. I'm on MacBook and iPhone 6...

My Messages (Third from left)

Click on "My Messages"

Hover over "My Messages" on the left and a drop down appears, "Sent Items" is last option

@Neil C unless you check the box "save a copy in my sent items" when you send a message, there is no way to go back and read your sent messages. It's a strange quirk of the software which has always seemed odd to me. Let me see if I can enable sent messages as a default setting. I'll post back when I've had a chance to have a play.

Tone, thanks understand the point about ticking the box, but more to the point I can't find the outbox or sent messages in the updated forum. It's probably me however I can't find them although I know they've been sent as I get replies. Btw It's also a bit confusing having 2 my messages on the top navigation landing pages.

Do appreciiate the work you and Boydie do.

Let's try and walk through to see where the problem is...

Click on the MY MESSAGES in the main navigation bar at the top of the forum in the middle block

You should see a menu pop up with: MY MESSAGES, READ YOUR MESSAGES, and SEND A MESSAGE

Click on READ YOUR MESSAGES

You should now see your INBOX

At the top left of the window your should see a MESSAGES option

Click or hover on this and you should see a menu pop up with: NEW MESSAGE, INBOX, SENT ITEMS

Clicking SENT ITEMS will take you to your SENT ITEMS  :o

If you do not see a SENT ITEMS option it is possible that you have not been saving your sent items

To enable this select PREFERENCES and then CHANGE SETTINGS - on this page you can tick "Save a copy of each personal message in my sent items by default", which should sort you out

Another way of skinning this cat is to click on the small grey circle with an arrow pointing to the left in it (on my screen it is just under the magnifying glass of the search box)

This will open up the Message, Action & Preferences options down the left hand side (you can hide them again by clicking the small grey circle with the arrow)

There are lots of different features in the forum that allow you to customise it to suit you so have a play!!!
