Well Johnny, quite a few tips in there for sure. My one point would be that if people are reading stuff on the Internet (like me) about getting inspired then our little insular world continues to comply.

Thankfully (or unfortunately) I have more ideas in the pipeline than time. But as Henry Miller said (I think) we may not be inspired every day but we can work every day.

Keeping going does seem to be more conducive to getting back into creativity than just waiting...

For me, ideas come like busses; two or three at once. When I don't have anything new to work on, I rework older material that I'm not happy with. As a result, I'm always writing.

I always have songs I want to write...but often struggle to bring them to life or do them justice. It is possible to get the job done by hard work and perseverance...but I really don’t enjoy the experience and so I really love it when you get that feeling and the ideas and lines come pouring out. Just wish it happened more often...

I guess I'm fortunate.  Ideas are never too far away.  I don't force the writing process.  I do however, acknowledge that beginnings are extremely important.  What might appear at first unexciting, often comes to life as the song and production develop. Often, something magical happens.  Songwriting is beautiful.  Connect with your emotions and creativity to express yourself.
