Hi Katie

Really pleased Wicked Deeds has taken your lyrics and made this beautiful song out of them. This deserves to be in the finished songs section and please don't be shy about posting it there, if that's what you want :)

The lyrics are very powerful. Both how you originally written them and how Wicked has written to fit the song. I really like the imagery of the stone underneath the tree.

I think the treatment of lyrics is really well done. The mood fits the words and it's a very delicate and fragile piece. Wicked's performance is great and the production is good.

It's lovely for you to hear your words put to music.

Big well done to you both!!

Darren

I think it would be great if one or two people could get involved with this song.  I've dressed it up in a summer suit of clothes but think it could be so much more if someone could take hold of the performance/production reigns for Katie.

If anyone is interested, then don't hesitate to leave a message. I'd be happy to communicate chords and provide a WAV files of the vocal and piano.  Alternatively, someone might like to sing this too.

well done chaps!
I really enjoyed that, really stripped down as it is!
Really nice!

Wicked Deeds! or Paul.

I think you're familiar with my acoustic efforts
and I'm not the greatest producer
but if you send me the  wonderful chords you put together for these sweet lyrics...
aand if it's not too difficult for me
I'll give it a try and add my pepper. Might be interesting.

(I like the arrangement the way it is, still I'd reserve the right to change it up, when n where I see fit  ;))

Katie. The lyrics are a delight. I'll be keeping an eye out for your posts. I really like that refrain, the imagery is very sweet! Thanks for sharing.

Please don't be too shy to give me a polite, "err, noo thanks!" I'm meek enough not to take offense.

Have a lovely weekend.

It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

Hi Rightly, I'd love to have you on board , the feeling of having something that you have written come to life is really something ( it gives me butterflies in my stomach )

My only worry is over posting lyrics I could write all day ,

I've posted in the Bar section my latest collection of lyrics , as I'm a huge fan of Oasis and very heavily influenced by them - I'm sending a book to Noel (I know that he probably won't ever see it but you never know ) I sent my last book to him and one to Liam

Thanks Katie xxx

Sorry about the delay. I got distracted, exams mostly.
I've sent you my email.
I think I'll be doing it with guitar but I'm looking forward to anything you'll send.
This might be a learning curve for me, the harder I hit it the more I should get out of it.
Bring it on.

Yes, something coming to life is what it's all about for me too.
It sometimes takes a while in my case, and collaborations have often been where I get out of my comfort zone and and attain something unique, sometimes even memorable.

I think I'm as old as those brothers you mentioned, I'm also from Manchester, so as these have-a-go laddies became famous I was obliged to have an opinion. The whine in their shine wasn't nearly as interesting as that of the smiths, their aggressive posing and hit hungry songs, their thug-love of football... They didn't move me much. I was probably already too experienced to be taken in.

Is it Noel that writes the songs? Not bad, I admire his commitment, seems like a nice bloke.
The other one, well I've met too many of his kind, and the first was as tiresome as the next will be.

I didnt get hyper about nirvana either.
The smiths, talking heads, Madness, the cure, joy division were more my cuppa'.

Each to their own and it's good that way. I hope I haven't offended, taste is always personal. I'm sure sure Noel knows this too.

I'm looking forward to trying this song of yours. I like the lightness, and the imagery and the music.

All the best! Rightly.

Hi no offence taken , I was into madness -great songs , I like oasis two- tone and the jam as well and the style council , didn't get into Weller after that , only really know love will tear us apart by joy division - some people, I know were into, the smiths , talking heads only know Road to nowhere .

Glad that you are on board with this thanks again
