just found this site today whilst researching PRS (I'm a member) PPL (trying to join . . .) and how you get paid for your works! So a few words of introduction.

I've been in a partnership writing songs for 30 years, working mainly in the acoustic/folk style, but with some rock, jazz etc. We perform our own songs at small gigs that are happy to take original artists (luckily there are quite a few of those round here!).

I mainly play bass, but dabble in Mandola, keyboards and whistles (of the Irish variety)

We record in a home studio using Cubase Artis 8.5 - I must have bought Cubase variants around 8 times over the last 30 years (he said with a grudge!!)

Looking forward to seeing what this forum offers

Hi Dave,
welcome, have a browse around the various threads, a quick read of the rules and take the plunge. I guess it depends what you're looking to acheive but its a friendly and talented bunch here.
There are a least a couple of forum members who live in Devon to my knowledge, Tone and Montydog - Alan Walker who you might be near to or even know them!
