Played at an open mic session in Berlin.
The camera man starts a bit late then his cellphone died before the grand finale but I can still enjoy it, and he bought me a good whiskey later that night.

Agree with Pomps about the chatter but hard to avoid in a live setting

The performance is captivating and the lyrics brilliant and deep. I think it's a great song and well performed.

My only pointer would be towards the guitar playing. It's quite loose (like my own..) which means you're getting some unwanted open notes and buzzes which make the bits you want hear less defined. A little bit of tightening up here and this would be superb.

I think what really draws me into the performance is how involved you are and watching it I'm hanging onto every word. It feel really from the heart and I immediately wanted to go back through the lyrics and they don't disappoint at all. Great stuff

Very enjoyable piece. The performance is good and the integrity shines through.

Ok so you get a bit of extra noise out of the guitar and maybe don't hit every note right but I don't mind that. The timing's good which is more important I think to carry a song through than worry about a few buzzes and stuff.

I used to do a lot of busking so I know what it's like when you can't 'feel' the rhythm and you lose the song. Better to get into the groove whatever it takes than worry about the odd note hiccup.

I remember this performance. I had back pains and had to take great care with sudden movements.
I enjoyed playing, though in some pain and I'd had just a little too much to drink, not that much. 

In these open mics I really don't mind the chatter, I think the punters are there to enjoy their free time.
They will have their own dramas to deal with. I know his bar and was expecting the chatter.
There are so many opportunities to play in Berlin, as a resident it only sometimes occurs to me how lucky I am to have options.

Yes, Darren, my unwanted notes n buzzing... I'm aware of this and I'm in the process of making improvements.

I hold you three in high esteem, I really apreciate your comments.

I'll have a look into making some more videos, I was thinking about doing it anyway,


Speaking as objectively as I can, I do believe I'm good live.
If I was to see someone do what I usually do I'm sure I'd be thrilled (I'm too old for false modesty).

As ever, there's endless room for improvement (I like it that way), and there are a lot people that would prefer something smoother and even apathetic. I've no idea what's commercial anymore.

I really would like to get a bit smoother, and vocally more accurate when going for the notes.

Long, long way to go, I intend to enjoy the challenge completely!

You are good live and it was an enjoyable watch. I wish I had the confidence to perform live but I think part of my in-confidence is routed in knowing that I'm not the best vocally.

I don't think you have too far to go to be honest. You have good rhythm, a solid voice, well thought out lyrics and a uniqueness to your performance. Must be a thrill performing live like that. Keep at it as I'm sure you will

yes I've posted it before
I don't usually play it live, I'm not sure if it works
in Berlin the audience is spoilt for choice, often they don't react much, even if they're inspired.

I've played a lot of open mics and less but some concerts.
I want to get smoother. There are listeners who I'll call passive, they won't overlook the audible mistakes. Active listeners will join the dots, and be more forgiving.

I will say it takes a while for folks to like my material, they're often expecting "sweet puppy-love", or "oh, poor me" songs. I don't think I'm being judgemental here.
