It's been a while since I posted anything, but great to see this forum is still active with some excellent songs!

Anyway, would appreciate feedback on this track:

Into the Arms of the Faithless

You change your mind a thousand times
There's something wrong, there's something wrong
You keep your dreams, just out of reach
Ther's something wrong, there's something wrong

Chorus:

Into the arms of the faithless you fall again
There's something wrong
All the times you took the blame but things always stay the same
There's something wrong, there's something wrong
So take your chances before it's too late
For peace at last , for peace at last
For peace at last

You shake your head and feel alone
And peace will come, yes peace will come
There's no one here who feels the same
But peace will come, yes peace will come

Chorus

Interesting sound from the start....had that "Talking Heads" vibe. Very catchy.
Good song, and the production is great.
Kudos......

Oooh...
I like the massive reverb on the drums, and that Floyd-esque sound effect on the rhythm guitar, and the interesting bassline that reminded me a bit of the band Japan, and the way your voice occasionally sounds a bit like Bryan Ferry or David Sylvian... a big fusion of arty late 70s influences here.  The vocal melody is insistent and hypnotic.  A smart piece of art rock statement.  Maybe slightly long - shave a minute off?  But really well produced and delivered.  Looking forward to hearing more of your stuff.
It's all too beautiful.

Good song!
Some great production ideas and instrument choices.
Love the guitars (bass included  ;D ;D) and that echoey snare.
Vocals are top notch.
Could stand a haircut - but not if it's an album cut.  ;D ;D

Aww...I couldn't get this to play...pity because I was hoping to check it out. Reverbnation...Grrr  :)

Edit: so I went over to listen to silver machine, and then flipped back and it fired up this time  :)

There's real Bowie-like quality to your voice on this one, I thought. It's a really good song...very 80's in a really good way...loads of lovely little touches and all very well done. Love the chorus chord changes in particular...though I was a tiny bit unsure about some of the lead guitar bits in the outro...no big deal at all.

I'm really pleased I didn't just skip over this, as it definitely put your name on my "ones to watch" list.

Great song!

Thanks to everyone for the fantastic feedback ...

Paulski and Paulyx: I agree this one it slightly long, but it's more of an album track than single  :).

PaulAds: As a massive Bowie fan, I appreciate any comparisons in that direction :)

Ironknee: I'm also a Talking Heads fan love their percussion in particular!

And I thought of U2! This track is a bit of a roll call of fine musicians. Make of that what you will Kevin! Quality song. Welcome back.

Hi Kevy.  I thought that this was pretty damn good. There are some Floyd influences for sure but a lot of North African vibes as well for me like when Robert Plant discovered Rah ! My only nit is that although the bongos underpin the track they are slightly too loud and distract from the rest of the song. Cool stuff

Yes, I can relate to that Roxy Music analogy. There's a restrained passion in the song that I like. Lots of commercial and catchy elements. although a tad retro in nature at this point. But I enjoyed.

Hey man, I'm not gonna use the B word again but it sounds like you got a selection of his top guys  on this. Sweet!
That bass player is playing according to funky rules! Machine fit the two guitars and I'm ready to seriously dig  this.
Your vocal is  great man and the song has an air of mystery and magic I connected with.
Bodacious lead guitar at the end, I coulda done with more of that.

the title is very good. Had to check this.
lyrics are top notch, it had a good begining but later on for me it seemed to lose some steam.
I like the differences with the instruments, all working together. I like the effects too.
Vocals are superb.

A very interesting listen.
