Since I moved to Logic Pro X. I promised myself I wouldn't look at add on stuff or plugins until I had at least a grasp on the basics.

I bought a Waves F6 Floating Band Dynamic EQ in the Black Friday sale. It seems like a very useful bit of kit.It allows me to use the thing just skimming the surface with some pleasing results using presets, until I go more in depth and learn to use it properly.

Anyone else use this and have tips for me?  :)

Afraid not Davy, but I have bought a pretty bunch of Waves over the past year or two, so if you are looking for an opinion on any others, let me know.

What I will say is that most are excellent, achieve something I can't get with bundled gear and have improved my productions. Ease of use is another factor with excellent video tutorials available.

Wow a year already? Times flies ay, remember I was going to try follow in your footsteps.. glad you've made more progress!

Real smart move waiting the year to get your foundation before moving on, that's the sort of self control sure to yield great results.

I got nothing to contribute lol, but congrats on the milestone and good luck! xD
