i know i know i need to find meaningful work...
but its an interesting diversion..

i took part and my choice was 'angels' by robbie williams as i hate it !
the song id like to keep was 'paperback writer' but guess theres millions of possible answers and that was the one that popped into my head..
see what you think !

from NPR 'songs that should be retired' or not

I voted to retire Galway Girl which should have been strangled at birth and keep Nights in White Satin  because it's sublime and despite having heard it hundreds of times over the past 50 years, I still love it.

I wouldn't retire any song. Somebody somewhere will like it, why should I deny them the pleasure.

I recall what it was like trying to find long deleted LPs before the advent of cds, and the joy of playing it when you or a friend got it.

Songs like Galway Girl will never be retired simply because they are popular. Its the way of the market.

Blasphemy!

If I had my slippers on I'd throw one at you for uttering such horrible words.  ;D ;D ;D

Have you not heard Astral weeks??? How can that ever get old?!?

Nah, I'm with Keith on this one, no song should be retired. We must care for our elders no!??
