Hi everyone.

I went to an open Mic last night in brighton with some friends at work. I had a bit to drink and actually, for the first time ever! played one of my songs in front of an audience. I was nervous as he'll,  but drink help me a lot on this occasion. People seemed to like it,so I might actually do it again.

The song I done was called SHADOWS IN THE DARK

The sun goes down on this town
As I rise into the night
The street a dream inbetween
My youth and my desperate needs

And will i let go
When the time is right will i know
That my dreams
All my dreams
Were just shadows in the dark.

Let me play the guessing game
Talk to walls
And open my heart
It's not the same same
It's all the same
So confused with this reality

And will i let go
When the time is right Will I know
That my dreams
All my dreams
We're just shadows in the dark.

I liked it a lot. You remind me of Leonard Cohen, especially his early work. I'd like it if you put the instrumental section at the end somewhere in the middle, but other than that, I think you're pretty much done. Great song

Yeah this is very Lennie Cohen, man.
It's a very lonely sound, makes me wanna buy you a beer.
A lotta flat notes tho dude?
Get yourself a DAW and do vocal retakes, then you can polish the nugget when you get it.
Hey you played a gig, there aint no stopping you now!
