Hi guys! 'Heaven' is my debut single as an independent artist. Originally written in 2014, the song has evolved over the past three years from it's early demo-versions as I continued to shape it sonically to resonate with the provocation the lyrics command. As a person who has always been perceived as quiet and shy, writing and producing this song was a fun process of toying with a hidden alter-ego -- an invented version of myself that is not afraid to be vain. Would love to get your feedback on both the lyrics and your feelings on the production as a whole. Thank you!

Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
You've got that kind of touch that makes me want more
The way you make me feel I've never felt before
Tonight I'm young and strong, don't hold back your power
Tonight the sky's the limit and the world is ours

[Pre-Chorus]
It's alright if you fall for me
Hold onto the mystery
Or look beyond the vanity

[Chorus]
I could be your drug, baby
I could make you high
You could be my murderer
Yeah, killing all my time
We could make it feel like heaven
When it's just you and I
So let me be your heaven, baby
Let me be your heaven

[Verse 2]
Come take my body like I'm good medication
I've got that paradise, sweet intoxication
You want to step into forbidden unknown
Don't be afraid 'cause you won't go it alone

[Pre-Chorus]
It's alright if you want to see
Everything that I could be
Live out every fantasy

[Chorus]

[Bridge]
'Cause I could make you fall in love with me
It could be just a matter of time, Oh
I could make you fall in love with me
But I'll let you take the lead
I know you want to be free

Hi Tyler. Can't fault the production, and bonus points for the video, and extra bonus points for absolutely nailing the "unafraid to be vain" vibe. You've certainly achieved that and then some :-). Great effort for a shy bloke  :) The whole package is very professional and you've got a great product here to take to market. It's commercially right in the sweet spot, particularly as the vocal effect (which I'm assuming is AutoSong) is so ubiquitous right now.
Good luck with where you want to take it. I'm not sure from an artistic perspective I can offer much of an appraisal. I lost interest in chart music somewhere in the last millennium, so I don't really know whether your song is likely to be a hit or not. But great to hear a modern pop song showcased on the forum with a video to boot. Full marks from me. Cheers Micky.

Hello Tyler!

I don't know a lot about this style of music, but I was expecting the song to evolve into a harder dance rhythm, which didn't happen. So a lot of tension was built up but never released.

The production sounds good and big to my ears.
