Anyone got this bad boy? I really don't like the stock pianos in Logic much, and my outboard piano sound isn't up to much either. £22 can't really go wrong I know, but interested to hear anyone's experience with this bit of kit.

I think the waves piano sounds great, but I'm stuck on the idea that if everyone has it, will my piano tracks stand out? I definitely need better than what I have though, and £22 is very cheap...

I have this piano and it is very awesome..lots of presets of different piano sounds.. worth 22quid for sure..

So having bought this piano, and inserted it into an existing piece, Im now finding that it doesnt play repeated notes compared with Cubase's default pianos.

What I mean is, on the midi entry screen, if there is a long note played then one more on top of it slightly later, say, in an arpeggio,  then the second strike of the note doesn't play. Live playing is not affected by this issue.

Any ideas?

Just shorten the preceding note in your editor James. Although it may seem like a fault compared to what you're used to, it's actually an accurate representation of playing a piano. If a note is being held, you can't play it again without releasing it (unless the sustain pedal is doing the holding).

If you're looking for sustained notes with multiple attack, you can draw sustain pedal events in using your editor. I don't use cubase, so I can't advise specifically, but I'm sure a youtube search will fill you in quickly enough.

You have to leave a short gap between notes, then they play, just checked it out here...
if I've understood your prob correctly..one note above the other in the midi editor plays no problem..

You have indeed. I will probably have to edit the midi by hand then, but I was hoping to avoid that with a setting somewhere...

I dont understand why it should be like that. All the other cubase pianos dont operate like that.

You could probably select all midi notes in a piano roll view and shorten them all a bit - it may affect the performance so you would need to do, have a good listen and if you don't like it simply hit undo

It is probably worth a try as it will only take a few seconds before manually editing

I use easykeys midi piano mostly but I bought the waves rhapsody to get a different sound/choice.
unfortunately it doesn't work on my laptop.
It crashes reaper and won't run stand-alone as it is supposed to.
Waves has offered to help but I haven't had time to let them try.
