Hi All! I used to post here under my previous project name 'Winter1982'. I have since started a new project, Saint Alto, and had a really exciting year. It would be great to talk to you about some of that at some point!

I remain unsigned but have had a great few months playing lots of shows including a festival and a BBC Introducing live session. I have just set up a new website through Music Glue (great for festival applications, presenting to people and creating merchandise and selling music). Its been really interesting learning curve this year in terms of how to reach the right ears, branding, promotion, writing and producing etc;  it would be great to share some of that with you at some point.

Tell Me Something is the first of a few new releases I'm making and it would be great to have your thoughts on it! Any questions, let me know!

I wish I knew myself as well as I know you
Wish I could see myself the way you say you do
You're not mine
I'm coming apart at the seams
I try to avoid your eyes
Try to avoid being near

Days they go easier if we don't speak
Soon I haven't seen your face for weeks
Months they go easier if I don't think
I start unraveling when I drink

So tell me something like you love me
Like you want to choose me instead
When I call you in the morning
I say the drink went straight to my head
Just the drink went straight to my head
It's best if we just forget

Yo saintalto.

First off,you have a great voice, almost like a male version of Maggie Bell.

Your voice stands out so much,I reckon you could sing the phone directory and folk wouldn't notice, yet still love it.

The song itself,I bet would be great live, big and anthemic. It's a 'phones in the air' moment at a concert.

Nothing here I don't like.  :)

Great voice, man! Powerful and slightly unusual timbre (unless you got some effect in there?)
I wasn't totally sold on the song though, it lumbered when it shoulda skipped.
A voice like that deserves a great song.

Skub, thanks so much, really kind comments, the song does go down well live!

Silver Machine, thank you! No effects, just as is. It's one of my slower ones yeh, please feel free to try out some of the others too. Thanks so much for listening and commenting

Cool. No need for my review. In that folky songwriter genre, as good as anyone.

Absolutely pro sounding. Radio ready in my opinion. To quote Billy Joel: "Man, what are you doing here?" ;-)

Congrats, Bye Wolfi
