Hey all.

Thought it'd be cool if we knew a little about each other!

OBVIOUSLY we're all awesome songwriters that are totally unappreciated outside of this forum, but what do you guys all do to get by whilst you're crafting your next masterpiece?

I've mentioned before that I'm a Chef. Have been for 4 years now. First place I worked at was a Sushi restraunt which blew my mind. Since then I've done all kinds of stuff from classic british and french fair, to ultra modern vegitarian (think Heston Blementhal without the meat).

What about you?

Peter

I mainly write copy for websites on a freelance/ contract basis, but I also do web design, a little bit of IT support/ repairs and the odd gig every few weeks :)

Thank god I have songwriting to keep me sane! :)

Primary school teacher in training at an inner city school in east london. It's an interesting job, it's a very poor area so there is a lot of challenging behaviour but its really rewarding!

Landscape architect. And if I had my time to do again I wouldn't be a landscape architect, I'd do something more exciting like, say, insurance loss adjustment!

I've created my own welfare by selling an internet business, now I receive monthly payments for that. I need to succeed as a songwriter in the next two years or I will need to work again  :'(

The most part of my working life has been in the marketing and media industry (outdoor advertising), I have also been a business college lecturer and had my own fashion stores. I now do massage, and have a niche market as a male 'beauty therapist', working from home which allows me the time to write and paint.

I wiill shave you squeaky clean,
You lie back while I apply the cream,
In the event the topic arises,
You will be relieved
There are no surprises  :P
