Ive  got so fed up working on my FAWM album, & the sound of my voice is annoying me,
so Ive come up with this for my Summer Comp entry..
I think you should listen to it twice as it is sooooo short, & before you dismiss it as 'not a song', I will have you know the guitar is doing the singing! :)
Hope you like it..

Yes I can see a great melody on this. But it sounds nice to me, very Hawaii!  ;)

Oh I'm there swaying in the breeze, sipping Malibu (Yeuch !!!) The guitar is actually singing Tina and this has you're unmistaken surf geetar style. Of course the song is way too short so I had to listen to it a few times. Great stuff as usual

Great tune, Tina...loved the guitar sound...it seemed a little fuller and fatter than some of your more recent stuff?

Double the length of it? to save everyone playing it at least twice  :)

Excellent!

Great atmosphere and tunes (I always say an instrumental is a great way to test out whether your tunes really work - with lyrics any possible uninterestingness can get obscured).

I like the interplay between the two guitar sounds here - I imagine one is the holidaymaker and one is the local and they are striking up a conversation. I think you could make even more of that - at the moment it's quite full on into the melody from the start - I could see something more tentative from the visitor, getting more relaxed (hic) and confident, and then fully joining in with the local rhythm towards the end.

Maybe that's not the story at all but that was my interpretation... I could easily take a minute more - and enjoyed the jungly drums too.

This is the sound of Hank Marvin and Mark Knopfler falling in love when they meet whilst out for a paddle in the surf.  It's great.  I'd just suggest making it a love triangle and giving the bassist a louder pair of trunks.  :)
It's all too beautiful.

Hi Tina, nice little surfs up pastiche a la shadows! Great guitar tones on this ditty. Nice playing, as usual!
Cheers

Yo Tina.

Fine tonez on the guitar. The overdrive one sounds like Carlos Santana has just discovered there's a Whang bar on his axe, then he gets busy with it. 8)
I'm into shorter songs at the moment,an effort to be sub 3 minutes. I'm conflicted on the brevity of this song,on one hand I love it as it is,then I start hearing other possibilities.

I have a tendency to put too much into a song, then spend as much time again trimming it all back!

Anyway,if this track doesn't cause an outbreak of dodgy Hawian shirts and primary coloured, ill fitting, baggy shorts, then I'm Crash Bandicoot's uncle.

Hi Tina!

I like it!
But there is something with the percussion that is a bit distracting.

I get you. I sometimes even get fed up with chocolate ice cream.

And by the way. Nice of you to join the party!

Definitely hear the Santana influences here...

Great guitars as usual, brings a real summer air to the tune.

A great listen

Well Tina, you've finally found a way to get more guitar in your songs

Nicely played as usual. This would make a great piece of film music. I can't quite picture what the scene would be, but it's out there I'm sure.

I enjoyed the mood and flavour of thistropical duel although I wasn't that fond of the lyrics.

The guitars sang well although I think they may have a slightly sore throat (there was quite a lot of distortion coming through, seemingly from them. Not the complimentary/effect kind)

Nice sound overall though.

Hi Tina

Seriously? 1:25 and still entertaining?
How can that possibly be?
I'm lucky to get to the second verse by then  ;D ;D
Sounds like when Carlos Santana met up with the Ventures - before they kicked him out for being too latin sounding.

Never a dull moment, or should I say never a dull 1:25 with your songs - enjoyed muchly  ;D

Paul

PS - The vocals are too low in the mix  :o :o

 Hi Tina,

Great tune.   I'm a big fan of the way you use the
wammy bar.  Adds so much colour and character to
your playing. Certainly got a taste of the Shadows
here....especially at the start, and a whiff of Carlos
Santana, later on ;D  But it was all Tina. No mistaking
 that..

Didn't mind the length at all.  Reminded me a bit of my
 X wife....short and punchy ;D

Uplifting and fun as usual ;D
 Loved it.........and you xx

Nowt as queer as folk...........my gran

Hi Tina,

Very cool stuff on a nice warm day.
I love that little part between 32-34 secs. Sounds wicked.
The song is as long as an English summer - and therefore perfect for the comp.

I love how you make your guitars sing Tina!! This is a really awesome piece of music! I wish I had something more to say than that, but I love it! Simples!  ;D
