       Here's a song i wrote for a Persian lady, a beautiful soul, inside and out.

                                Song for Nasim.

                        Another night passes by
                        And the sun is getting high
                        Drinking every drop of morning dew
                        The fields are yellow green
                        And branches careen
                        From a warm breeze blowing down the avenue
                        And the bees are getting busy
                        Ringing those soft bells of blue
                       
                        It's a beautiful scene
                        But it's not like a dream
                        Of the beautiful eyes of Nasim

                        Oh the moorhen and drake
                        Sit bobbing on the lake
                        Where sunbeams of silver unroll
                        And birds in every tree
                        Are singing for free
                        Songs that are good for the soul
                        And piano like rills snake down from the hills
                        And fall in laughing cascades

                        It's a beautiful scene
                        But it's not like a dream
                        Of the beautiful eyes of nasim

                        If i were a young man
                        I'd take your hand
                        And hold it up close to my lips
                        And i'd gaze into those eyes
                        Where mystery lies
                        And smother your palm with a kiss
                        But i am almost old and you are still young
                        There's so many years in between

                        Too many between
                        So i'll just have to dream
                        Of the beautiful eyes of Nasim

      For the positive feedback. I still dream, but sadly, that's all i can do. I put music to this, burned it to cd, and gave it to her as a gift. She got in touch a few days later, crying her eyes out. Said it was the best gift she had ever received. Made it all worthwhile.
