Hiya..

Lots going on here, bit of experimenting not sure if it comes through ok or not.

What's going on
- Ukulele for the rhythm
- Panned nylon-string for the verses
- Centered steel-string in-between verses

What I'm worried about
I'm trying to create the effect where you hear a verse repeated in your head after you've just heard it, and tried to achieve that by using the steel-string centered repeating the nylon melody from the verse.
  • The emphasis changes each verse, so am I fighting a lost cause with this?
  • Would I be better off repeating the panned nylon rather than the steel?
  • Or should I look for another alternative? Maybe try the melody on the uke...

And does the 'melody' over the verses with the nylon even sound any good? I made a recording without the rhythm at an earlier stage and came through a lot nicer, but lacked a bit of depth (hence the rhythm)

Any other more general feedback and/or tips also appreciated.

This ocean of darkness,
Fills my heart with gloom,
A storm too many,
And all will be consumed

Lets change direction,
We'll turn this ship around,
We'll follow the beckon,
And find that solid ground,

Lets haul up the anchor,
And raise them sails high,
I'm tired of seeing clouds,
And no sunshine from the sky,

This ocean of darkness,
Fills my heart with gloom,
A storm too many,
And all will be consumed,

This water's choppy,
And it's knocking me around,
I won't let it stop me,
We're gonna find that solid ground,

We'll clear from the storm,
Whilst running at full sail,
The sky will come clearer,
And the sunshine prevail

This ocean of darkness,
Fills my heart with gloom,
A storm too many,
And all will be consumed
