Hey

I was scrolling through the collaboration section and thought I would throw my name in the hat.

I am a singer songwriter who excels in the lyrical and composing aspect of music creation. I have a couple songs that are completed lyrically and have very defined melodies to go along with them. The songs are completed to the point where they should (hopefully) be fairly easy for a composer to build a melody or riff under.

One is called, "Reckoning Day." (It's a Progressive, Power Metal song. It's a very driving, gallopy and upbeat.)

The other is, "Demon Slayer." (Old school hard rock song, with some light Metal influence.) I purposely wrote this to be a simplistic garage band style song to offset the complexity in my other works. This one should be a cake walk for a "solid" guitarist. It's still a very fun and nice sounding heavy and dramatic song. I could possibly see a Classic Rock fans digging it since it sort of has a Black Sabbath vibe.

I have other songs, but like a good nurturing mother I currently feel the need to protect those. Don't worry, I'm not throwing the garbage at you, the songs listed above rock.

let's see.. I do all my vocals. If you also have good chops and want to do backup even better....

However, I must admit I am more than a little confused to how the whole collaboration on THIS site works. Is it  basically up to the collaborators to define the roles, etc?

Finally, I have experience in multiple genres outside of Metal. The one catch is I don't have any audio I can share from my previous bands. I lost a ton of data when a computer crashed. None of the work was completely polished or produced anyways (We couldn't find a competent bassist who could play our stuff.)

That' should be enough rambling for now. All the best to you!

RECKONING DAY (NOT to be confused w/Day of Reckoning from Megadeth. lol)

(All vocal intro)
Poor influential child I fear the end is near
For there's a emptiness upon us, a stillness that feels the air
A cry screams out for justice, just to fall on empty ears
It's time to begin a new age! The day of reckoning is finally here.....

(verse 1)
The days of hate and suffering fueled by hollow lies
Deceived by your intentions, stripped of all our pride
Forced to live in poverty, forced to watch friends die
This day of reckoning comes today, today revenge is mine!

(Chorus)
Always, remembering, and never forgetting,
This chance that's been given to me, to end all this suffering!

(Verse 2) *Melody changes*
You break people spirits and you steal their souls
Taking all they got before their body is cold
Bringing on the day of suffering
Laughing all the while at the peoples pleas
And as the darkness falls down covering the earth
Leaving bloodstained land for whatever it's worth
We'll make this stand for the world to see
That victory comes to those who truly believe!

(Chorus)
Always, remembering, and never forgetting,
This chance that's been given to me, to end all this suffering!

(Bridge)

(Outro Chorus 1)
the bodies of the dead are everywhere!
The smell of their corpses feel the air
These are the days when the children cry
In the memory of the men that died there that night

You can hear them screaming!!

(Chorus x2)
Always, remembering, and never forgetting,
This chance that's been given to me, to end all this suffering!

One more time now!

Always, remembering, and never forgetting,
This chance that's been given to me, to end all this suffering!

It is as casual or as formal as you want it to be

As the person "offering up" the collaboration you are in total control so if someone contacts you either via PM or on this thread you can decide whether what they have to offer is what you are looking for or not

As with any Collab the only advice I would give to everyone is to agree any "splits" up front to avoid confusion (arguments) later down the line
