Pretty good deal from Waves.

http://www.waves.com/bundles/oneknob-series?utm_source=wnletter&utm_medium=email&itz=1&utm_content=shop-oneknob&utm_campaign=5-amazing-specials-limited-time-only

I've been thinking of getting one or two of these for a while but I think at this price, now might be the time to get the lot.

Skub, one for you maybe??

Unless you don't want to bypass the learning process.

Phew!

Looking at the thread title I was ready for some "Mod" duties  ;D  :o  ::)

These are a great option for adding a little something to a mix but I would still urge people to lear about the "why" and "how" it works

However, the acid test is always "how does it sound" so if these get you where you want to be then I am all for the simplest solution

Reading this thread feels like I've been dropped into a carry on film

Oh Matron! whatever do you mean?

I knew that title wouldn't be lost on the Brits on the forum.

I was going to see if I could get the word head in there and sneak it past Boydie, but alas, my wit deserted me.

Wah hey,is this where the knobs hang out?  :D

Yodasdad, one knob sounds complex for the likes of me!  :P Looks cool man,so I'm not looking!

The current state of the learning process includes a promise to myself not to buy or use any aftermarket plugins until I have the run of Logic. The only thing I struggle a bit with is,getting a good (to my ears) dirty or crunchy sound on rhythm guitar parts, but I think it's just me.

Plugins seem to be like stomp boxes...once you buy one... ::)

Always add a High Pass AND Low Pass filter using an EQ after the guitar sound

This will take down the lows and highs to better represent the response of a real amp speaker - making the sound more realistic  ;D

Yodasdad,
Just wonder whether you wanted to append the suffex to the threads title 'lately'?

I'll give that a whirl for sure. Thanks Paul.
