Wanted to go for quite a chart feel with 80s influences added in as well.

For me, it has the chart feel, but I didn't get any 80s influences. I can't know what influences you were trying to recapture but for me one of the common aspects of pop at that time was the huge snares.

Not my cuppa, but sounds good for the type of track it is.
It's the kind of thing I would usually turn off if it was on the radio - which is meant as a compliment as it means I think it's current sounding.

Upbeat and very poppy.
I did think the first part sounded a bit bright, but you said that was the effect you were after, so...
