Oh Yeah.

This works so well now Adam. The electric recurring riff I disliked in the original, now has it's place in the mix and the song.

It's a revelation,love it.  :)

Hey Adam,

You must be very pleased.  This remains faithful to the original and gives it that extra lift.  It was always a great song with that steadily slowing section being a highlight.  The  new drums and production sound great.  I think that Boydie has done a great job taking your original riff and  giving it new life whilst still maintaining the spirit of the original.  Well done.

What a brilliant piece of work!

You've come up with an excellent track here between you all...it was always a really good and quirky number and - as much as the drums and production have made a very impressive contribution - for me, the star of the show is Adam's vocal...it's very sure-footed and sounding most impressive. It's funny and playful too.

I've really enjoyed seeing the massive progress you've made...an example to one and all.

Congratulations...you can be very proud of this  :)

I think you mustve posted this while I was at FAWM so I never heard it
It sounds delightfully English, sort of like XTC
I love that super catchy guitar motif you play & the cute lyric..
the song is terrifically catchy & I love the talking bridge & M8
I listened to the original & it has a real charm but the drums & production prize give it a fab treatment

One thing tho, the choruses sounded distorted which I didnt notice with the original??
Tell me Im wonderful & I ll be nice to you :)

I listened to this just before having to leave in a rush.
at 1st I thought there was something grating and I couldn't listen to it

later I realised I had a jingle in my ear, I couldn't place it or drop it.
then I realised it was this and I loved it. lol.

very catchy and awkwardly honest. just as you described it in the intro explanation.
an excellent pop tune
Well done!!
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

Just to round this one off - super pleased and grateful with the way it's turned out. Most of the praise should really be directed at Boydie who worked wonders with shall we say "less than perfect" raw materials...

The Righteous Recording peeps did a fantastic job on the drums too (especially given the non-standard nature of the track).

And thanks again to everyone who voted for the song in the first place - was an amazing prize to get!

Hi Adam, as I'm newish here and just catching up through this thread of feedback, I listened to the original and then the revised version back to back. Really interesting to see how you developed it.  I already liked it at the first draft but you've really lifted it to another level with the latest version.  Loved the self-effacing and slightly leftfield lyrics; the lead guitar motif is also a big part of the charm - I liked the kind of lo-fi quality it had in the first draft, but have to agree that the effects treatment in the later version helps it sit better in the mix.  Super.
It's all too beautiful.

Most original song and clever lyrics

A great listen.
