Hey All,

First off thanks for all those to gave feedback on "Give it Up", feel like I've left it too long to give it a bump now but please know I am grateful and appreciative!

This is one of the first I writ when trying to learn guitar, and was a great learning song for myself,

One of those I think I parked because it was a little too current at the time and didn't want to waste my time on something I didn't feel comfortable playing in front of people.

I always seem to liberate myself when writing by keeping the notion that "this one will just be for me" (to try justify the bluntness), but then come back to see that only the songs I write "just for me" are worth a damn. When I first uploaded this one to Soundcloud I accidentally left it public for a few days and a friend happened to give some positive comments in passing.

Thinking now time has moved on a little it could be worth another visit, so thought I'd drop on here and see if anyone has any suggestions before then.

So basically a standard unlucky-in-love setup where someone's messing you around and the internal conflict it can cause.

The way you looked at me,
Made me feel so happy,
Shame we'll never get to see,
What together we could be,

'Cos now when I see that look,
Feel like I've been hit by a truck,
Then I sink into the muck and think..
Damn at least we f*cked

Chorus
You're playing with me girl,
And I just don't know what to think of it,
Did I do something wrong?
Because the notion makes me think a bit,
I'm trying to play it cool..
but I know i'm in the thick of it
So maybe I should step back
'Cos I'm just so god-damn sick of it!

<Poor attempt at musical bridge to lengthen song>

Was only testing the water,
Because I know my place,
Was just the two of us,
And you was up and in my face,

I followed you upstairs,
And it picked up in pace,
But then the lead went cold
And I don't know if it's just a waste because

Chorus

All the best,
Scott.
