GuyBarry posted a chord progression on The Writing Process board and asked for suggested melodies. I accepted the offer and wrote a melody.

The original thread together with the chord progression can be found here: http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=12457.0

My melody can be found here: https://soundcloud.com/diademgrove/guy-barrys-blues/s-LbFkj

If anyone is interested in writing some words, and finishing the song off, including the singing, be my guest.

Any questions please ask,

Keith

Hey Keith,

I'm sorry you haven't gotten any takers on this. I wish I could do it, but it is too advanced for me, I think. I can pretty much only handle fairly simple melody lines. For example, singing the close harmony version of "Sandman" should be doable for a college educated music major, right? Sorry. Only the melody. The rest is beyond my meager skills. I can sing lots of harmony lines, but not challenging ones. I can't sing tritones, even. My voice is adamant about slipping to the 4th or the 5th.

So you see, I have serious limitations in my vocal abilities. But maybe by bumping this, I'll attract the attention of someone who can handle it.  :o  One can hope.
