Hi,

This was one of those songs I hear on here which force me to consciously remember that I’m not actually listening on the TV or radio! Very pro feel.

Lyrically accomplished, melodically engaging and vocally intriguing. Okay I could suggest, as others have, that it could use an instrumental break but hey, overall...

Great job!

Quavers, Crotchets, Doritos. What's the difference?

yes this was super... I realy loved the vaudeville piano & gabys posh english blues
I liked the story of the rich girl rejecting her well to do upbringing..& her family then rejecting her when she found how brutal real life is without the riches
I did find the repetition of the same words a little bit wearing ..i know they were shuffled around cleverly to tell the story but it was still hearing the same words a lot if your not au fait with the story ..
it was very original with the pauses & the choir & I loved the contradiction that blues is poor black  american music & this was upperclass English blues

TINA pretty much nailed everything I was going to say

The piano playing is perfectly judged so kudos for re-doing that

The unresolved ending was also a nice tough

Great stuff

Hi

Very classy sounding song.
This has a lovely pace and feel to it.
The vocal similarities have already been mentioned - it is uncanny though ;D I bet you do a mean cover of some old Bronski Beat or Communards songs.

Quality write.

Tim,
Enjoyable track with that good bluesy/jazzy feel.
Liked the the lyrics with piano provide neat backdrop for the excellent vocals.
BV's and tremeloed guitar nice touches too.
