Hi folks,

I've been writing songs for over 35 years now, gradually honing my craft and hopefully improving as I go. It's hard to judge, though - I don't have much of an audience besides my bestie who once used to write too until life got in the way.

I've had long periods of inactivity punctuated by hot bursts of inspiration - where I currently (and thankfully) find myself. I've written over 400 songs - some good, many not - and have recorded about 40 of them in fairly rudimentary fashion with my (untrained) vocals and just the guitar for accompaniment.

I use Audacity but am experimenting with other DAWs and may actually spend money when I discover something I like.

So, here I am, based in the capital of our beautiful (currently unbearably hot) country, looking forward to meeting fellow songwriters and comparing notes on what we love to do.

Cheers!
L

If you are on a Windows PC then I would recommend Sonar Platinum as a good all 'round DAW

If you are on Mac, then I think Logic Pro or Studi One would be worth checking out
