Not an easy question and my choices would probably vary from day to day but here goes today's selection:

Male:

For flawless technique and making everything sound perfect: Amos Lee
For extreme range and soul: Wilson Pickett
For phrasing and a sincere voice: Joe Pug

Female:

For unbelievable tone, soul and sincerity in her voice: Frazey Ford

The more I think about it, the more I think I wouldn't want anyone else's voice. It's not that I like my own voice particularly - more that I'd want a voice that was identifiably mine, not someone else's. So I suppose a composite voice that takes some of the richness of John Grant/ Grant Lee Phillips, the versatility of Jeff Buckley and the honesty of James Taylor might be fun to play with.
