Hi, A song about finding the right person...if you take a listen, I thank you.. :) :)

https://soundcloud.com/knmac/run-with-me-by-knmac

As I'm running through the rain,
I hear you call my name,
I turn to see,
as the misty morning light,
awakens from the night,
you run to me,
A love I know will run with me x 2
I awaken from my dream,
to the like of which I've never seen,

A love I know will run with me
A love I know will run with me
A love I know will run with me
A love I know will run with me

as we run against the wind,
we can make our dream begin,
we can be free,
as the distance closes in,
the horizon we can win,
a fait accompli..

through the wind and through the rain,
through the love and through the pain,

A love I know will run with me x 4

Lead break..

through the wind, through the rain,
through the love, through the pain,
you will be there.

A love I know will run with me x4 ©KNmac

Hey Shadow,

Love the tempo throughout the whole song, it builds up nicely and comes together with the lyrics to set the scene and does such a good job of bringing out that whole blind optimism you get when thinking you've found someone special.

Traditionally I'd think songs which keep you in and actively listening would be the better ones. I kept drifting off into daydreams and deep thought whilst listening to this and had to re-listen a few times to actually write some feedback, which I assure you is due to the great music putting me into a trance rather than lack of interest. Fantastic!

Love the simulated Echorec 4 head delay thang. I have a Catalinbread pedal that replicates the old Binson Echorec, one of my favs. David Gilmour is a big user of the sound, you'll hear it on many a Floyd album.

A whole massive soundscape with the various keyboard tones overlaid with your heartfelt vocals.

What's not to like?  8)

Instantly grabs the attention, with a great full-on atmosphere. Movie sound track like...I kind of  imagined the action building up in the penultimate scene of a thriller...

Great Job

you are definitely moving towards a dancey euro pop sound again  ...in fact at times here you sounded like a club version of Big Country...wow I like that...at this rate youll be doing EDM by Christmas!
anyway its big & bouncy & dancey ..its lush pop with your fab emotion filled vocals

its got your usual themes of running & romance & here you are searching for a love to go jogging with in the misty morning  ;D
love that solo it sounds like electronic bagpipes!
Amazingly big sound aswell... so impressive!
Tell me Im wonderful & I ll be nice to you :)

Very impressive. First thing that strikes me is the production - but this is only because the last three or four things I've listened to haven't had that. It does show the importance of a good production.

I've been listening to a lot of Radio 2 on my long commute and this would fit in perfectly and would easily stand shoulder to shoulder with most of what I hear on there.

Very good.

Tiniest of tiny nit-picks is the repetition of "awaken" in the first verse.

Cheers

however, saw a Gilmore concert recently in Schonbrunn, Vienna, where he presumably used it...
ta for listening.. :)

Hey Phil..ta for commenting, appreciate it.. :)

Hey Tina..club version of Big country...loved that description!!! :) :) :)

Hey Derek, out of respect for anyone that might listen I always do my absolute best with production and singing...there is no other way IMHO...tried hard but could not find an alternative to replace the second awakened...bugger!!! :( cheers for listen mate..

Kevin, in terms of production you are zillions of light years ahead of us mere mortals. This song has a great build , love the distinctive shadowfax sound. Echoes of Nik Kershaw I thought. Quality stuff again mate  :)

I can hear this on a radio for sure, the productions sound very good to me

Only thing that would bother me and turn me off after a while is the repetitiveness of the line

" A love I know would run with me"

Otherwise damn fine

Another fine song from the shadowfax stable.
Super build, vocals, production.
A bit repetitive but suits the genre and I don't mind repeating if it's good stuff you're repeating :)

A vast soundscape. If enya and Kate Bush had a baby with Christie Moore and Annie Lennox dressed it... Well it would sound just like this.

 Hey Kev  ;D

Great stuff.  Usual, top class production.

Had me moving ;D words like 'huge' and
 'epic' come to mind....

In the spirit of perfection, the only thing
that came to mind was that the solo was
a bit lacking in those epic and huge proportions
that the rest of the song had.....small
 meaningless detail really.....the only criticism
 I could find  ;D

Great vocal, had a distinct Europop feel..

 Loved it  ;D ;D

Nowt as queer as folk...........my gran

Hey there Shadow....the percussion is an instant ear-worm ;)
Great vocal!
Love the overall feel. The lyrics and melody blend wonderfully.
The instrumental is sweet  8)

masterful production and top quality performance

i don't think it's possible to find anything anything negative in anything i've heard you post (i.e. everything you've done since i joined the forum)

i sometimes think i'd like to hear something totally different from you...but you seem so suited to this style of writing and you do it so well...it'd be daft, perhaps, to change

brilliant work, as always  :)
