Hey !

Ok let's go for the little story :

"During a bombing raid, a woman gets hurt as she's trying to protect her husband from the falling roof. As she passed away in his arms, the man rushes outside the house and screams against the bombs that continue to fall al around him."

It came to me, not as an hypothetical event from a distant past, but as a tragedy that might be happening everyday somewhere on the planet.

We can multiply peace gestures and pacific postures without never being able to achieve tranquility of the conscience. Peace is extremely fragile. Like a white paper dove.

So peace my friends.

They turned a blind eye to
Her sacrifice

It may be asked if it was
A roll of dice

No more pressure, no more words
Can keep the warring sides apart

Her breast is cold and white
Like melting ice

She smiled and said goodbye
Now you're not afraid to die

Whispered a taste of her love
In your ear

With a white paper dove
She caught your tear

A simple echo of the heart
Trapped in a golden sphere

And when push comes to shove
She'll disappear

You really have achieved your own sound, nono. I love that blend of funky guitar and great vocals.

Plus le cat.  :D

I love the way you let space work for you in your songs,it's often what we leave out that makes a song, not the things we add.

Very listenable, emotive and entertaining. Intelligent songwriting.

Well developed song.  Great dynamics, excellent vocal, moody.  Sounds like a tune that belongs on a Bond movie soundtrack.  Nice work!

I love the soundscape in this...really nice, moving piece. The piano intro sets a perfect scene before everything else kicks in and the chrous is a cracker...You are knocking high quality songs out left, right and centre and I think every one of them is better than your last. You´ve gone a bit more spacey-groovy recently and I really love the vibe. Great lyrical content as well. Wonderful work!

How much for the cat?

Great song.

Song and title do look set for a Bond Movie.

Love those guitars.

Great video

nono.
Lyrics good. Loved the intro and sounds fab with groove and arrangement/production.
Only thought is that that vocals are nicely leading the mix in the verse and are a slightly buried in the chorus.
Top notch as usual

Yo nono,

Love the big fat bass setting up the huge warm space for the vocal to live in....Excellent lyrical arc...Works so well from the opening guitar phrase through to the end...  The rhythm really keeps you rolling....Good work!

Thanks for listening and for your advices.

I will see what I can do to get the vocals upfront in the chorus  ;)

Great songwriting on display here nono.
Lovely vocals lead and bv's.
Boy that guy can sure crank out paper doves in a hurry too :)
Everything is spectrally positioned perfectly and I love that understated piano run that threads through the background.
Nothing to suggest - sounds perfect to me.

Hi Nono, This is another really interesting piece of work from you. Like the sparseness in the verse and the bass driving it along. Lovely subtle guitar and great strings. Like it

Nice understandable lyric. Warm storytelling vocal. Nice chill music, Good String sound.
I do feel you could have developed the melody a little more.
