Hello;

Sounds pretty good.

For me, the best part is the lyrics.

Though the music is good, i think the vocal mix could be improved; t s kinda hard to understand the words; I think vocal and Piano share the same frequencies and the piano wins :) but i m not sure how to fix it. especially the lower, quieter vocal parts are not really present.

Hey !

I like the singing much more than on "forever" because the singer uses the pitch variation less often and it helps me concentrate on the melody.

The song "forever" is very catchy, however with this style of singing, I'd like it much more ! :-)

The guitar solos are always god inspired  :o

Nono.

Thanks for listening Alan, sorry you didn't connect with the song, but it's part and parcel of songwriting,we can't please everyone all the time. All points are valid.  :)

Great vocals. The song is touching, inspiring.
Drums would work well. It's good as it is though
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

Yo Skub,

From the Elton John inspired piano married to the David Lindley lead guitar...each with your own subtlety..You create a beautiful container for the sensitive, emotional lyric...

Because the piano is so articulated, I think it could have dropped out a bit to create more dynamic diversity (it seemed to compete with the guitar).... But that's more a matter of taste....
The intensity of the vocals really carried me along...

Poignant and tastefully done.
Love the guitars, i do like your singers vocals and the pianist can play.
I think its a grower melodically and requires a couple of listens. I'd agree with the comment about maybe stripping the arrangement back, I'd have less for the verses and build more differentiation on the chorus. And i think it could do with more bottom end and the vocals up a tad more in mix, and the possibly have the ending more resolved.
Anyway a good one.
Moving.

This is very special. When you're writing about a real person's real life and death you have to get it right. When I checked the lyric sheet I was surprised it was just; verse, chorus, verse, chorus. There seems so much more in the song. Even without the background story this still makes sense; it's about any unfortunate vagrant that many of us can't deal with and prefer to pretend they're not there. It's a great song on it's own with a lyric that slams the story in your face but knowing something of the woman it's based upon puts it on another level.
Great performance too. Made me think of Carol Decker .. nothin' wrong with that.
They're, there, their  ...  They're all different!

Hey Skub and wow!

I am instantly drawn into the song as I put it on. The guitar caught me of guard (brilliant production).

This arrangement is stellar. The vocalist is superbe and so is the rest of the instrumentation (got a little Gilmour feling on the guitar there eh??)

Excellent performance! Great song!
